1. Who We Are

Cloudplay Games is a browser gaming platform operated by Cloudplay Games LLC. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Cloudplay Games is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All users must confirm they are 13 or older at signup. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents who believe we may have collected data about their child can email dev@cloudplaygames.com.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following:

  • Account info: username (you choose), email, password (hashed), birth year, display name, bio
  • OAuth data: if you sign in with Google or another third party, we only receive your email address. We do not collect or store your real name, profile picture, or any other personal data from the provider. New OAuth accounts are assigned a randomly generated placeholder username (like player_abc123), which you can change at any time.
  • Game activity: games played, match results, MMR, XP, level, friends, favorites
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (standard web server logs)

4. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • Display your profile, stats, and leaderboard rankings
  • Match you with other players in multiplayer games
  • Respond to support requests
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

5. Information Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure providers: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Fly.io (game servers)
  • Other users: your display name, avatar, XP, level, and public profile are visible to other users
  • Law enforcement: when legally required

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising trackers. We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future.

7. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your profile at any time
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data by request
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: passwords are hashed with bcrypt, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to our database is restricted. No system is 100% secure though, so we can't guarantee absolute protection.

9. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days (we may keep anonymous stats and legal records longer where required).

10. Changes to This Policy

We'll notify users of material changes to this policy. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
